Out of Network Reimbursement

I am committed to working closely with any client who is interested in seeking Out-Of-Network (OON) approval and reimbursement directly from their insurance company. Clients are responsible for checking if their insurance covers OON benefits.

Many clients have found this article helpful in understanding the benefits of OON services: 8 Reasons to See an Out Of Network Therapist (My personal favorite is our ability to be creative in our therapeutic approach!)

HSA / FSA

Most FSA and HSA (Flex Spending and Health Savings Accounts) will cover psychotherapy. Please check with your account holder if you have any questions about eligibility. I am happy to offer any additional receipts/invoices and attestations requested in order to seek approval or reimbursement from a third-party financial support source. Please read more below** for why I prefer to work with a client directly to create a manageable fee.

Please Note

*Therapy services are provided on a sliding scale when requested by the client. To request consideration for Sliding Scale Fee, please email  or call (267) 908-4664.

**[ If an insurance company does not follow through with payment, pays less than contracted, or disagrees with a diagnosis, the client is responsible for the full cost of the session without the support of their insurance company. This can leave someone with a large sum they did not expect to pay. I would much rather work with someone on a payment scale, so that they may anticipate all payments due. I find this also makes it easier to discuss financial needs and planning. Additionally, insurance companies require that I assign a diagnosis code to each person I work with, and place them within a medical - not a holistic and patient-centered - model. This creates the assumption that there is something wrong with my clients, and that they are to be "fixed" or treated. I simply don't agree, and the search for a diagnosis can be problematic in a myriad of ways. Working with OON benefits allows therapy to have greater flexibility in treatment approach,  location, and creative engagement.]
